Ed Rawlinson Middle School |

Ed Rawlinson Middle School was constructed under the Construction
Manager-at-Risk project delivery method. The project consists
of a two-story, 184,000 SF, 1400 student capacity middle
school, that includes 39 classrooms, nine (9) science laboratories,
three (3) computer laboratories, home econimics laboratory,
industrial production laboratory, technology laboratory, competition
gymnasium, a practice gymnasium, cafeteria, library, band hall,
choral room, theater, and athletic fields. Building methods
utilized for construction included a slab on grade foundation
with spread footings, cast-in-place concrete structure with
bar joists, modified bitumen and metal roofing systems, and
CMU walls and brick veneer. |

Rhodes, Page, Lowell, Cooper

Start/Completion: 02/01 - 12/02
This project consisted of additions and renovations at four
(4) San Antonio Independent School District Middle School campuses.
The projects were completed under the Construction Manager-at-Risk
delivery method. Bartlett Cocke General Contractors worked with
the School District and Garza/Bomberger Architects to successfully
complete these projects on-time and under-budget. All four (4)
of the Middle School campuses remained occupied during the construction
process. Bartlett Cocke General Contractors was responsible
for construction phasing, routing pedestrian traffic and constructing
temporary partitions and construction barricades.
At the Lowell campus we constructed a new library, as well as
six (6) new classrooms and four Science classrooms. The Cooper
campus included six (6) new classrooms and four (4) Science
classrooms, as well as locker room and classroom renovations.
The Page campus included a new cafeteria addition as well as
a new Library and new Science classrooms. Rhodes included a
new Library and classroom facilities as well as the renovation
of existing classrooms. |

Boerne ISD 1999 Bond Program |

Start/Completion: 06/99 - 12/00
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors successfully completed both
on-time and under-budget, Boerne Independent School District’s
entire 1999 Bond Program, under the Construction
Manager-at-Risk project delivery method. This program consisted
of a new 138,000 SFJunior High School, a new 82,000
SF Elementary School, and the addition and renovation
of five (5) additional campuses. The Architect for these projects
was Pfluger Associates and O’Neil Conrad Oppelt.Work on
the addition/renovation projects included Band Hall additions
and Cafeteria renovations at Fabra Elementary School, Currington
Elementary School, and Fair Oaks Elementary School; vocational
addition and renovations at Boerne High School and at Boerne
Middle School North. All five (5) of these projects took place
on occupied campuses while school was in session. |
